1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Ink Verse Publishers website (inkversepublishers.com) and all services provided by Ink Verse Publishers, including ghostwriting, editing, book cover design, formatting, proofreading, illustration, translation, audiobook production, KDP publishing, book marketing, and self-publishing services. By engaging our services, placing an order, or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Our Services

Ink Verse Publishers provides a comprehensive suite of book publishing and writing services, including but not limited to:

  • Ghostwriting Fiction, Non-Fiction, Memoir, Biography, Autobiography, Informative
  • Book Editing & Proofreading Services
  • Book Cover Design & Formatting Services
  • Book Illustration & Translation Services
  • Audiobook Production Services
  • KDP Publishing & Self-Publishing Services
  • Book Marketing, Branding & Publicity Services
  • Children's Book Publishing Services
  • Web Design & SEO for Authors
  • Video Book Trailer Production
  • Queer Publishing Services

All services are subject to a separate project agreement or proposal outlining specific deliverables, timelines, and pricing.

3. Project Agreements & Process

All projects begin with an initial consultation to understand your vision and requirements. Once agreed, we issue a formal proposal outlining the scope, timeline, and cost. Upon your approval and full upfront payment, a project agreement is executed and work commences. Our standard workflow includes:

  • Initial Consultation: Discovery meeting to define project scope and requirements
  • Project Planning: Contract execution, timeline confirmation, and full upfront payment
  • Concept Development: Research, drafting, and concept creation
  • Content Creation: Writing, editing, design, or production based on your service
  • Review & Revisions: Feedback rounds as agreed in your project proposal
  • Final Delivery: Delivery of the completed work in the agreed format

4. Payment Terms

All prices are quoted in US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated. Payments are due according to the schedule outlined in your project agreement, which typically includes:

  • Full payment is required upfront before any project work commences. We do not offer installment or milestone-based payment schedules.
  • Milestone payments as defined in the project agreement

We accept payments via approved methods stated in your invoice. All payments must be made in full prior to the commencement of any work. Note: All payments are collected in full upfront before project work begins. No work will commence until full payment has been received and confirmed.

5. Refund & Cancellation Policy

We are committed to client satisfaction and will work diligently to resolve any concerns before a cancellation or refund is requested. Please review our policy carefully:

  • Cancellation by Client:
    • Before Work Commences: If you cancel your order before any work has begun, you are entitled to a full refund of the amount paid, minus a 10% administrative processing fee.
    • After Work Commences (Within 7 Days): If cancellation is requested within 7 days of project commencement, a partial refund of up to 50% of the total amount paid may be issued, depending on the volume of work completed. The portion of work already completed will be non-refundable.
    • After 7 Days of Project Commencement: No refund will be issued for work already completed or in progress. You will receive all completed deliverables up to the point of cancellation.
    • After Final Delivery: No refunds are issued after the final product has been delivered and approved by the client.
  • Refund Eligibility:
    • Refunds may be considered if Ink Verse Publishers fails to deliver the agreed-upon service within the mutually agreed timeline (excluding delays caused by the client).
    • Refunds will not be issued for dissatisfaction arising from subjective creative preferences if the deliverable meets the agreed-upon brief and revision rounds have been utilized.
    • The full upfront payment is non-refundable once project work has commenced, unless Ink Verse Publishers is unable to fulfill the service.
  • Free Revisions: The number of revision rounds included with your project is determined by your selected package. We strongly encourage clients to utilize all entitled revision rounds before requesting a cancellation or refund.
  • Cancellation by Ink Verse Publishers: We reserve the right to cancel a project if the client engages in abusive or unlawful conduct, fails to make payments as agreed, or requests content that violates our content policy. In such cases, a prorated refund for uncompleted work will be issued.

6. Intellectual Property & Ownership

Upon full payment of all agreed fees, all rights to the completed work including the manuscript, cover design, and other deliverables are transferred to you, the client. Ink Verse Publishers retains no ownership of your final published work.

  • Any content, ideas, or materials you provide to us remain your intellectual property.
  • We reserve the right to list your completed, published book in our portfolio unless you request otherwise in writing prior to project completion.
  • Ghostwritten content is delivered with full confidentiality we will not claim authorship or disclose our involvement without your permission.
  • Prior to full payment, all work-in-progress materials remain the property of Ink Verse Publishers.

7. Client Responsibilities

To ensure a smooth project, clients agree to:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and timely information required for the project
  • Respond to feedback requests and review drafts within the agreed timeframes
  • Make full upfront payment prior to project commencement as per the agreed invoice
  • Not request content that is defamatory, plagiarized, obscene, or otherwise unlawful
  • Understand that delays caused by late client feedback may extend the project timeline

8. Revisions Policy

We are committed to delivering work that meets your expectations. The number of included revision rounds is determined by the package you select at the time of purchase. Each package clearly outlines the revision allowance, and additional revision rounds beyond your package entitlement may be subject to additional fees.

Revisions are defined as adjustments within the original agreed-upon project scope. Significant changes to direction, scope, or structure after work has commenced may be treated as a new or expanded project and quoted accordingly. Clients are advised to review their selected package for the exact number of revisions included.

9. Confidentiality

Both parties agree to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all project-related information. Ink Verse Publishers will not disclose your project details, personal information, or creative content to any third party without your written consent, except as required by law or for the purpose of delivering the service (e.g., assigning a writer or editor).

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our services are provided on an "as is" basis. While we strive for excellence in every project, Ink Verse Publishers makes no guarantee of specific commercial outcomes, bestseller status, publishing platform acceptance (e.g., Amazon KDP approval), or book sales results following publication.

We are not responsible for decisions made by third-party publishing platforms, distributors, or retailers regarding the acceptance or rejection of your book.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ink Verse Publishers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, or reputational harm.

Our total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total fees paid by you for the specific project giving rise to the claim.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if unresolved, through binding arbitration or the courts of Ontario.

13. Changes to These Terms

Ink Verse Publishers reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to our website. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
